I am looking for some information on fly fishing. I want to know about how much it would cost me to get started. Also I would like to know any other info to help me get started.
Answer:
Find a good fly shop and go for a casting lesson. You will learn technique, equipment, locations, fly selection, etc., then practice some on your own, buy the best rod you can afford, a decent reel, and other basic equipment. Find a professional or friend you trust and put yourself in their hands - but learn as you purchase (the investment is not small). Then go out with a guide for a fishing outing. You'll learn more about equipment, technique, etc.
In short, if you can afford it, get professional advice to get started right.
