| Pro Bass vs. Alum. Fishing Boats. |
Question:
Looking for some advice on which type of boat to get. What's the opinion of all the bass and pan fish fishermen out there about a pro style bass boat vs. a V hull, such as Lund, Smoker, and Alumcraft?
Talking about fishing in places like the lakes of Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Illinois. No huge lakes like Michigan or Erie.
Tri Hulls, fiberglass seem to ride a lot smoother when fishing, but when lakes get choppy, the V hulls seem to be safer, at least to me. I'm asking this so I can decide once and for all, which boat to get this spring. Thanks for all the help.
Answer:
I've owned a 14' Alumacraft V-14 for about 2 years now. I'm very satisfied with its performance so far. I fish mostly medium size lakes for bass and crappie. The boat is very stable in choppy water and is very towable due to its light weight. This boat highly recommend for your situation.
