| Bank fishing near Houston |
Question:
I'm new to Houston but not fishing. I'm usually after good sized fish for consumption.
What are some good bank fishing spots for bass, crappie, and other fresh water fish in Houston?
Also what are some parts that I shouldn't eat the fish from due to
industrial pollution.
How about Salt water spots.
I live on the west side of Houston towards Katy.

You need to get a copy of Lorraine Leavell's
"The Original Guide to Family Fishing Holes Within
120 Miles of Down Town Houston". It has over 100 bank fishing, jetty fishing, pier fishing and wade fishing locations where no boat is needed.
It is a bit hard to find. I got mine at Cut Rate Fishing
Tackle at 8933 Katy Fwy but I think that Oshman's carries it too. I couldn't find it in regular bookstores. It will be the best $11.95 you ever spend on fishing in Houston.
