Question:
Does anyone have any advice for fishing tuna (yellow tail, albacore) off the coast of San Diego? Can you recommend bait, tackle, or a boat to take?
Answer:
Seaforth has a 3/4 day boat that goes to the islands. It's often crowded, but they find the fish when they're running. Take a salt water spinning set up if you've got one (or go get one). Use 20 lb clear line (don’t get green, blue...). Use the smallest hook that you can get away with (a one or a two, but they will tell you at the boat to use a three). And go have fun.
