Question:
I've had the opportunity to try their "Coastal version" last summer and liked it, only thing being that I have a reputation of being a deep-wader and that vest was too low.
Anyway, does anyone know of a reason not to buy this? I don't want to spend that much money (US$150 in Sweden) on a vest only to find that it's no good.
Answer:
I had NO problem whatsoever finding room for 12 years worth of gadgets
(That’s how old my vest is) in that one ;-)
Among those gadgets, 8 fly boxes.
The lowest part of the vest had a tendency, even though it wasn't as low as my regular vest, to end up in the water (take into consideration that my friends think I'm a reckless idiot when wading). This was not a big problem though, since it was fairly water resistant (not waterproof). But choosing a vest that I'll be having for say the next ten years means that I have to take into consideration my habit of wading deep.
And that vest is even more expensive than the one I'm thinking to buy
