Question:
Can anyone give me information on who to contact around Orange Lake,
Florida as a fishing guide for bass, bowfin and bluegill?
I am talking about the Orange Lake near Ocala, Florida
Answer:
There has to be a ton of guides in that area...but I don't recall any off hand. But know of some guys from that area that are now guiding down south of there around Okeechobee/Stick Marsh/Kissimmee, etc.
I do know that this neck of the woods is pretty much a fisherman's heaven...as you are right smack in the middle of the best fishing in the world. or at the very least...some of the biggest bass around. My dad and I hit some of the smaller ponds around Ocala when I was younger looking for that really huge fish and know there are some 18+ pounders in the area. I'd love to have a couple of weeks now to hit the Dunellen area and around the old Rainbow Springs. Your biggest fish around there should come between November and February...
