Question:
It has become quite possible that I will relocate to Albuquerque New Mexico sometime over the summer. I am trying to find out as much as I can about the place/area. So, while I know that Albuquerque is, more or less, a high desert, I know nothing about the surrounding areas. I hear faint rumors of fishing for trout in the area, but no confirmed rumors.

You need to pick up the book Fly Fishing In Northern New Mexico edited by Craig
Martin. The book was published in 1991, but the information is still very good.
Don't forget about the warm water possibilities. I have a friend that holds the state record for northern Pike and there is also striper fishing available
