| New Zealand fishing advice. |
Question:
I'm heading to New Zealand in early March and have about 3-4 free days to do some fishing. I will be on the North Island, in
Wellington.
I would appreciate any advice, direction, recommendations, on rivers, outfitters, guides, etc.
If any good guide books exist, that information would be welcome as well. I could not find any good guide books on Amazon.
Lastly, equipment-wise, I'll be taking a 6wt, 9ft. rod with both sinking and floating line. Any thoughts on that?

I got about two dozen hits on Amazon, borders and Barnes and Nobel searching
"Trout Fishing New Zealand"
The one that I have is "Hooked on Trout- How and Where to Catch Large Trout in New Zealand” by Ron Giles. Haven't got there yet but the book is a good read , tells you where to park your car etc.
