What type of tackle for offshore fishing?
Question:
I will be going to Dana Wharf in Southern California in a few weeks and I was wondering what type of tackle should I get for offshore fishing, as far as lures, fishing line, and hook size?

Answer:
I suspect you best bet will be to call some local tackle shops, talk to someone, and then patronize that shop & person. Call Dana Wharf and ask them too. In general, rigs from 10/12# to 20# will be sufficient. Depending on the bait 6, 4 & 2/0 hooks should be enough. A few 1/8 & 1/4 oz rubber core sinkers should do the job.
