| Surf fishing tackle carriers |
Question:
Does anyone have a source for carts, boxes, wagons, etc. to carry surf fishing tackle from car to surf, or catalogs for the surf fisherman with surf stuff?
Answer:
I've been using a GOLF CART. A 5 gal. bucket attaches nicely to the bottom the I mounted PVC to each side of the frame for rod holders. On the upper bag support I mounted a Berkley Flashlight type thing that swivels up and down as a work light I then mounted a cutting board onto the lid of the bucket and a bait knife onto the frame between the rod holders. The entire rig if very light weight and folds up nicely into the back of my car and the wide track large tires pull nicely through the sand. The entire rig cost me about $30.00 and saves me the problem of lugging a lot of gear and then (If Lucky) having to haul a
Fish too. You might also add a Styrofoam insert to keep your bait cool.
